Praise God for a great weekend away with nearly thirty men from our Arvo congregation!
The new site at Camp Kedron worked really well for the needs of our men’s group and meant that more men could come than otherwise.
We enjoyed some interviews and unstructured time together on Friday night.
On Saturday and Sunday mornings we had time set aside for devotions together in small groups around the theme of grace and encouragement.
Throughout Saturday we built a campfire and seats together with the help of Jono’s chain-saw, played golf around a three-hole circuit, went on an optional hike up a nearby hill for the view or else learnt how to barbecue spicy chicken wings with Ali before also enjoying a delicious slow cooked pork dinner together.
On Saturday night, Derek interviewed Sam Chan around the campfire for some excellent applied and practical teaching related to a range of topics relevant to Christian men and being on mission together.
On Sunday morning, we also enjoyed some whole group reflections, encouragements and prayer time together around the fire pit again.
All in all, it was a great time away together – praise be to God!
