Building Resilience in Little Ones
July 24 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
An event to help parents work out some useful strategies for their preschool kids to be resilient in a world of opportunities and challenges.
Over the last year, Christ Church has been focusing on Pastoral Care and Mental Health. On Saturday 24 July, our seminar will look into the very important theme of Resilience in preschool kids. The attachment bond we grow with our kids as parents is the secure base from which they go out & explore the world. Healthy preschooler grow in resilience when they are active in exploring their world.
We are hoping this event will encourage parents to proactively encourage habits and patterns of thinking that promote resilience even from the youngest ages.
We have invited Steve Dinning who is a Family Skills Facilitator with Anglicare to come and help us navigate this important topic. Steve is passionate about equipping people to grow healthy relationships. In his role with Anglicare he runs seminars & course in parenting, marriage & relating with others and does individual counselling. Steve and his wife Anne are navigating the teen & young adult years with their two daughters, Jessica & Rebekah. They love calling Wollongong home.
Our Christ Church family cares for our community and wants people to have the skills to maintain their health, whether it be physical, mental or spiritual health. This is an important seminar that we are providing free so that we can all learn together. Please join us in person or online and develop skills that build resilience.
