Hearing stories: how churches and communities can make a difference

An invitation to our Ryde District community to hear personal stories of refugees and refugee workers, and how people from the church and community are & can be making a difference. Come and listen to the experience of church sponsored Syrian refugee family, and learn from experienced local and international workers and experts, including:
  • Ebony Birchall – Human Rights Lawyer and Researcher
  • Sally Bathgate – Co-author of “Tea and Thread” and Board Member of Anglican Aid
  • Cheryl Webster – Migrant and Refugee Outreach Worker, Migrant and Refugee Services, Anglicare
  • Jonathan Nanlohy  – Community Projects Coordinator (Sector Development), Ryde City Council


When: Monday 18 June, 7:00- 9:15pm
Where: Christ Church in Gladesville (4 Jordan St Gladesville)
Cost: Free (please RSVP by 13 June).
